Terms and Conditions
Booking and Payment
A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 5 days before your event. Bookings are confirmed after receiving a signed agreement of the terms and conditions and a receipt of the deposit. A confirmation email will be sent and booking approved once this has been received. Payments can be made via bank transfer or any other agreed methods. The maximum length of duration for hire is 6 hours. To hire the cart for any other length time over this duration additional charges will apply at £10 per hour. The duration does not start until the cart is set and ready and does not include the time it takes to set up.
Mileage
For services requiring travel to and from a customer's event location outside of a 10-mile radius, a mileage fee of £0.45 per mile will be applied. This rate is calculated based on the total distance travelled beyond 10 miles from our base to the event destination and back. The mileage charge is designed to cover costs associated with fuel, vehicle maintenance and insurance. This rate aligns with the HMRC's Approved Mileage Allowance Payments (AMAP) for cars and vans for the first 10,000 business miles per tax year. If an invoice is provided, mileage charges will be clearly itemised on your invoice. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Cancellation and Refunds
If the client cancels:
• More than 10 days before the event, the deposit will be retained and the full balance (if paid) refunded.
• Less than 10 days before the event, full payment may be retained.
• If Marni’s Treat Trail cancels (due to unforeseen circumstances, such as vehicle breakdown, sickness etc), a full refund including the deposit will be issued.
Damage, Loss & Liability
The client is liable for any damage to the cart, jars, decorations or any other equipment during the hire period. In the event of any damage to the cart or equipment an invoice will be sent to the client detailing the price and repair work needed. Marni’s Treat Trail accepts no responsibility for injuries or damages caused by misuse of the equipment. The cart must be returned in the same clean condition to avoid additional cleaning charges.
